The Drift is a pear solitaire ring with an unusually fluid setting the stone cradled in a wraparound claw that extends into the band on one side, the band itself tapering to a fine knife edge. The design feels like the gold has moved around the stone rather than been built to hold it.

The pear cut sits with its point toward the fingertip in the traditional orientation, but the band construction here disrupts that familiarity. The wrap element gives the stone a sense of direction and movement that a standard claw setting does not. A pear, 0.25 carats small enough for daily wear, distinctive enough to be noticed.
