The Lune is a solitaire marquise ring on a knife edge band the stone set horizontally across the finger, its two pointed ends extending almost to the band edges, the entire profile barely thicker than the diamond itself. A marquise, 0.39 carats, resting like a breath of wind on the hand.

The marquise is the most directional of all diamond cuts it points, it gestures, it elongates. Set east west on a knife edge band it becomes even more emphatic: a horizontal line of light that widens the finger rather than rising above it. The thinness of the band means the stone appears to float. In yellow gold the warmth softens the sharpness; in white the geometry is everything.
